The pricing of our assessments reflects both the value of comprehensive, ethical psychological services and the need for affordability and accessibility for families. Our prices are competitive and sit within the standard professional ranges observed in private practice across New Zealand
Cognitive and Educational Psychology Assessments
Cognitive and educational assessments are a very specialised service undertaken by registered psychologists.
Standard Educational Psychology Assessment Package:
$1,800 (inc. GST)
Includes cognitive and educational assessment by a registered psychologist
One-on-one assessment with your child (3–5 hours)
Verbal feedback at the end of the assessment
Psychological analysis and interpretation of results
Comprehensive report with written recommendations for home and school
Special Assessment Conditions (where necessary) for NCEA and Cambridge Exams
Final Review Meeting to discuss the report and how recommendations may be implemented and reviewed. This meeting can be at Taylor Made Community Space or your child's school if it is inside the Cambridge High School zone. If the meeting is held outside this zone, travel costs are added at $1.17 per kilometre from Taylor Made Community Space.
Specialist Developmental Assessments
We are unable to offer assessments for ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder at this time.
Tailored Therapy
Psychologist Appointments:
Standard 50-minute appointment:
$210 (inclusive of GST) equates to $182.61 (exclusive of GST).
Other Psychologist Services:
Referral letters: $100.00
Consented extended communications (incl. phone calls) with other associated health professionals: $115.00 per hour (or part thereof)
Clinical assessment forms: Additional cost confirmed on a case-by-case basis
Practical Strategies
a) Parent and Caregiver Support
Parenting support consultation (50 minutes):
$210.00 (GST Inclusive)

b) Teachers
Teacher Consultation / School Visit (up to 60 minutes): $250.00
Preparation, resource development, or documentation: $115.00 per hour
Staff PLD Workshop (90 minutes): From $400.00 (pricing may vary depending on travel and group size)

Cancellation Fees
More than 48 hours' notice: No charge
24-28 hours' notice: 50% of the session fee
Less than 24 hours' notice or no-show: Full session fee

Your health insurance policy may include funding for psychological support. We are affiliated with Southern Cross Healthcare & NIB.
